Eaton Square - helical

A refined helical staircase connecting the office of an exclusive 4th floor residential apartment to a private roof garden.

This entire staircase was manufactured and pre-finished in the factory before being delivered and craned through the roof of this exclusive Eaton Square apartment.

Rolled mild steel box stringers secure open-riser oak treads with concealed internal lighting. The staircase is enclosed by an angular steel balustrade topped with helical steel handrail.

This stair was completed with a spray-applied liquid bronze paint finish that was then patinated onsite. Above the staircase is an automated glass roof panel that slices through the balustrade panels when closed.
